Carilion Clinic is seeking an RN Team Lead for the Operating Room (Urology, ENT, Plastics) in Roanoke. This full-time, daytime role leads an OR team, provides direct patient care, and ensures high-quality patient outcomes across assigned areas.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia RN license, has 1+ years of clinical and leadership experience, and meets BLS-HCP requirements with unit-specific ACLS/PALS/NRP potential. This role emphasizes staffing, mentorship, and collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including leadership experience.
• Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on unit.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution.

The RN Team Lead provides clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery while supporting staff development, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes. This role serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and team leader to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across assigned areas.

The RN Team Lead

• Serves as a team leader, clinical resource, mentor, and role model for staff.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise required.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. For Behavioral Health roles, de-escalation training must be completed within the required timeframe. For OB/GYN roles, EFM NCC certification required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to manage challenging patient situations as appropriate to role.

Compensation Range:

$39.00 - $62.40

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
