Beebe Healthcare is seeking an OR Team Lead to support daily operations of the Operating Room and drive clinical excellence. You will mentor staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure high-quality patient care while aligning with departmental goals.

The role requires RN licensure, at least two years of OR experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years OR experience.
• Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public.
• Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience.
• Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize daily workflow within the assigned specialty to maximize productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, patient safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the specialty resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance, technical expertise, and support to nursing and surgical team members.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance improvement initiatives using PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Monitor compliance with departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, taking corrective action when needed.
• Assist with accreditation and regulatory readiness activities and support ongoing compliance monitoring within the department.
• Coordinate orientation and training programs for new team members, students, and existing staff, ensuring all required competencies and training checklists are completed.
• Oversee annual mandatory education requirements and competency assessments, ensuring completion and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team member performance by providing feedback, identifying coaching opportunities, and supporting counseling or corrective action processes when appropriate.
• Assist leadership with the completion of initial and annual performance evaluations.
• Partner with department leadership to develop and deliver specialty‑focused education programs, quality initiatives, safety programs, and performance improvement projects.
• Maintain expertise in specialty‑specific procedures, equipment, supplies, and best practices while actively sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Participate in the recruitment and interview process by evaluating candidates and providing feedback to hiring leaders.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and clinical excellence within the Operating Room.
• Support the operational success of the specialty by ensuring accurate procedure scheduling, preference card maintenance, equipment readiness, and supply availability.
