Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks an OR RN for Lunder 4, Main Campus. The role supports Neurosurgical, Vascular, and Interventional Radiology patients in a high-volume, 24/7 unit with advanced imaging and intra-operative MRI.

Requires 0-1 year of OR nursing experience, RN license, and an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred). Onsite location at 90 Blossom Street offering 40 hours weekly and rotating shifts.

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.
  • Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required.
  • Registered Nurse license required (RN) and state license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate care plans.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient responses.

40-hours, day/eve/night rotation including weekends, holidays and on-call required.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 year OR RN experience.

RN Operating Room

Lunder 4 OR, located at Main Campus at MGH, is an eleven-room operating room unit serving Neurosurgical, Vascular surgery, and Interventional Radiology patients. Lunder 4 is a high volume, level one trauma unit as well as having scheduled surgeries. Lunder 4 incorporates the technologies of biplane hybrid suites for interventional radiology imaging, Cat scan, as well as intra-operative MRI.

Lunder 4 is a multidisciplinary team with supportive and engaged nursing leadership. Nurses, surgeons, technicians, and anesthesiologists work towards a common goal of safe and efficient patient care. Lunder 4 is open 24/7 every day of the week. Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.
