Mass General Brigham's The General Hospital Corporation is seeking an RN for the inpatient Oncology unit on a 36-hour day/night rotation, including weekends and holidays. A strong interest in oncology and at least one year of RN experience are preferred.

You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, delegate tasks, collaborate with the Nursing Director and care team, and ensure safe, efficient patient care tailored to each individual's needs on the 36-bed Solid Tumor unit.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RN license required (State RN license).
• Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required.

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
