Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT, seeks an experienced Manager (RN) – Operating Room to lead daily OR operations, drive patient safety, and ensure high-quality surgical care. You will partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing leaders to support staffing, performance, and outcomes.

The role requires Montana RN licensure (or compact with MT endorsement), BSN, and OR nursing experience; a Master's degree and additional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Montana RN license or Compact RN license with Montana endorsement
• BSN from an accredited nursing school
• Master's degree in nursing or relevant field preferred
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous OR nursing experience required; progressive perioperative leadership preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for daily Operating Room operations and staff.
• Promote a culture of patient safety, quality, and service excellence.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to optimize surgical services and patient outcomes.
• Support staff development, engagement, recruitment, retention, and performance management.
• Monitor staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental operations.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Manage resources effectively to support operational and financial goals.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and professional growth.
