Job summary

Taos Healthcare is seeking a friendly Registered Nurse to render nursing care under standards of practice, physician orders, and center policies. You will ensure patients' needs are met while following state, federal, and local guidelines.

Responsibilities include charting, narcotic counting, and monitoring patient changes. A supportive team environment with opportunities to growth within a long-term care facility is offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for NM or Compact.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedure for charting and incident reporting.
• Follows procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Documents changes in patient conditions including nutritional problems, infections, skin conditions, weight loss or other changes.
• Uses the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring in programs.
• Documents and notifies departments of patient room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

We are looking for a friendly Registered Nurse who will render nursing care within the scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.

• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient's room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
