Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident for 24 hours per week in the 4E Neuro department. Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00p - 7:30a).

The role utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care, coordinates with other departments, and upholds patient rights and Mercy standards. Eligible for RN incentives and bridging programs to advance BSN/MSN goals.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands:
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
