Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident to join the 4E Neuro unit. This full-time night shift role supports patient care using the nursing process, with emphasis on patient safety, rights, and collaboration across departments.

Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: 4E Neuro

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00p - 7:30a)

Qualifications

Required Education

Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.

• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
