Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking an experienced RN OR Circulator for a PRN opening in Augusta, GA. The role focuses on preoperative assessment, patient education, IV therapy, medication administration, surgical site verification, and active participation in a multidisciplinary OR team dedicated to safe, high-quality patient care.

You will work with surgeons, nurses and technologists to ensure smooth workflow, patient safety and adherence to universal protocols, with on-call during select

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure is required to practice as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding peri-operative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative medications.
• Perform surgical site verification and universal protocol compliance.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality nursing care.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team in the OR setting.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes during shifts.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and follow-up measures.
