The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate.

The RN reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president. Must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients using Behavior Management Techniques. Additional physical demands or respiratory fit test requirements may apply. Follow standard precautions to prevent exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
Additional certifications or requirements may apply depending on the department, such as CPR, ACLS, PALS, or specific licenses for hospice, radiology, or mental health units.
