The Staff Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. May be required to float to other units and participate in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals, as appropriate based on patient contact level.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma or a current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
• Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Department-specific competencies will be completed during orientation.

Additional requirements based on department:

• Hospice Only: Current CPR required; CHPN preferred. Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• Radiology Only: Current ACLS certification required.
• Employee Health: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of insurance.
• INTEGRIS Mental Health: Ability to operate INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicle, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, acceptable driving record.
• Emergency Department Only: PALS certification within 12 months; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The Staff Registered Nurse's management of patient care includes, but is not limited to:

• Assessment/re-assessments
• Development of the care plan
• Implementation of patient care interventions
• Evaluation of care interventions
• Supervision and coordination of licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Providing guidance and mentorship to staff and students

The nurse reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president.

Mental health staff must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients using the Behavior Management Technique System.

This position may have additional physical or respiratory requirements. Follow standard precautions to minimize exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
