Job summary

AdventHealth Calhoun is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Surgical Services team. The role supports patient care from pre-op to post-op, with hands-on coordination and documentation.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with 4–5 days of circulator call per month. Benefits from day one include medical, dental, vision, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. 1035 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient health data systematically and documents relevant information.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine and validate diagnoses with the patient, family, and healthcare providers.
• Identifies and formulates expected outcomes based on diagnoses, ensuring they are realistic, attainable, and culturally appropriate.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff, maintaining professional relationships and promoting a positive environment.
• Educates patients on procedures, answers related questions, and ensures patient safety throughout care.
• Assists with patient preparation for surgery, including starting IVs, documenting pertinent information, and reporting critical values.
• Ensures accurate and complete handoff to/from surgery, including verifying consent and compliance with hospital policy.
• Develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers, ensuring continuity and documentation.
• Implements interventions from the plan of care safely, timely, and appropriately, documenting actions taken.
• Evaluates patient progress towards outcomes systematically, revising diagnoses, outcomes, and plans of care as needed.
• Administrates medications accurately and in compliance with policy.
• Demonstrates competent technical skills and operational knowledge of all equipment used in the Surgical Services department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Minimum Pay: $35 / hour

Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Circulator call required 4–5 days per month, depending on staffing needs.

Sign on Bonus: $10,000

Professional Excellence Program: Up To 20% differential of total base pay based on level advancement, aligned to education and certification progression to support career growth

Pay Range

$31.75 - $55.47
