Job summary

Description:The position requires a Registered Nurse in surgical services.The role involves providing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.Common cases include general surgery, GYN surgery, urology surgery, orthopedic surgery, and podiatry surgery.Candidates should have experience with colon resections, laparoscopic general surgery, hysterectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, total knee replacements, total hip replacements, and shoulder replacements.The average number of cases per day is 20-25.A charge nurse is available during each shift, and they may take an assignment depending on staffing.There are also OR technologists available to assist.The facility uses the Epic OpTime charting system.Candidates should be prepared for a weeknight and weekend call rotation, which occurs once every six weeks.There is a possibility of floating to other locations.The uniform dress code requires wearing hospital-provided scrubs.
