Job summary

Cynet Health seeks a Registered Nurse specialized in the Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Houma, LA. The OR circulator will manage a variety of surgical cases across multiple specialties and participate in emergency call rotations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of OR experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. Willingness to travel for designated holidays and to be assigned to an Emergency Team is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years OR nursing experience preferred.
• Current state RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in general, urology, gyn, ophthalmology, ortho, vascular, pulmonary and endoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Function as an OR circulator, handling a variety of surgical cases.
• Average daily census is 11 with 5 operating rooms.
• Call is required for one weekend per month, including one call day and one late day each week.
• Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including, but not limited to: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, arthroscopy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, nephrectomy, total joint replacement, Universal Protocol.
• Candidates must live over 65 miles from the facility and no local travelers accepted.
• NURSYS report current and up-to-date certifications required; references from managers or supervisors will be needed for clearance to start the contract.
• Orientation modules are completed during orientation and are billable.
• Travel position requires comfort with emergency assignments as dictated by unit management.
