Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in Falls Church, VA is seeking an OR RN for a 16-week assignment. The candidate must have 2 years of operating room experience, an active RN license, and BLS with an AHA certification. Shifts are days, with 8-hour blocks (0700-1530) and 12-hour blocks (0700-1930).

The team self-schedules shifts and call, with weekend coverage and holiday rotation. Experience with trauma, neonate or pediatric cases is preferred, as well as prior travel experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the operating room according to surgeon and patient needs.
• Participate in team scheduling and call responsibilities.

Must-Have:

Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required.Travel experience preferred (at least 1-2 assignments; cannot be first travel assignment).Neonate and pediatric experience preferred, as well as trauma experience.

Description:Team self-schedules for shifts and call.Weekend requirement: 2-3 shifts per 6-week schedule period.Call schedule: 3-4 weekday shifts and 3-4 weekend shifts (4 hours) in a 6-week schedule.Holiday and night rotation as needed by the unit.Holiday requirement: at least 1 major holiday.

Facility operates 28 OR rooms with an average of 70-85 cases per day.Scrubs provided.Weekend staffing: 7-8 ORs on Saturday and 5-6 ORs on Sunday; primarily urgent cases with some scheduled.Operating room services include Orthopedics including total joints, general surgery, robotics, organ transplants, ENT, Oral/Maxillofacial, Vascular/Thoracic, Urology, and Pediatrics.Float as needed to other ORs based on low census needs.Epic access needed.
