Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Leader for night shifts. You will round on care units, assess patient conditions, and direct nursing staff while managing emergencies and bed assignments. This leadership role requires strong communication and clinical expertise in critical care settings.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in nursing leadership, an RN license, and BLS certification, with at least an Associate's in Nursing. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership experience as an assistant nurse manager or equivalent.
• RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Rounds and assesses patient care units to evaluate patient conditions and staffing needs.
• Advises and directs nursing personnel, responds to Code Blue, and manages clinical emergencies.
• Liaises for patient movement and bed assignments, promoting cost‑effective staffing and supplies.
• Represents nursing administration during off‑ shifts and acts as incident commander for disasters.
