Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking an RN Perioperative Clinical Manager to lead our perioperative team. The role oversees 5 OR rooms and 3 treatment rooms and supports outpatient procedures across ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and more; schedule is Monday–Friday, with some early mornings or later evenings.

You will coordinate and supervise nursing care for operative patients, serve as a perioperative clinical resource, and guide quality and performance

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing and current state licensure.
  • CPR and advanced life support certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year intraoperative leadership experience.
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership and teaching abilities.
  • Physically and emotionally capable of performing duties.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise nursing care for operative or invasive procedures.
  • Act as clinical resource for perioperative staff using evidence-based practice.
  • Evaluate practice via quality and performance improvement measures.
  • Communicate effectively with perioperative team and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and manage changes within the organization.
  • Participate in staff interviews and evaluate staff performance.
  • Manage perioperative services department operationally and fiscally.
  • Collaborate in planning perioperative patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior as a role model.

RN Perioperative Clinical Manager

is seeking a motivated RN Perioperative Clinical Manager to join our team.We have5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures inENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.

Some later evenings required.

Job Summary:

Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clinical resource for perioperative services staff members using evidence-based knowledge and prevailing standards.
  • Evaluates current practice through quality and performance improvement measures.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within the health care organization.
  • Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
  • Use effective conflict resolution techniques.
  • Operationally and fiscally manage the perioperative services department.
  • Collect and analyze data that applies to perioperative services to facilitate collaboration and negotiation with stakeholders.
  • Participate in interviews for staff selection.
  • Assist in evaluating staff member performance.
  • Serve as a role model of professional behavior.
