Job summary

USPI Northwest Surgery Center is seeking an Operating Room Manager to join our team on a weekdays-only schedule with no holidays, weekends, or call. The role includes oversight of surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing, with potential RN Circulator and Scrub Tech duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, Texas RN licensure with BLS, and multiple years in surgical settings, including management experience. CNOR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Five (5) years’ experience in surgery as circulator.
• Two (2) years’ experience in surgery management which includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
• Current Texas RN License - BLS.
• CNOR preferred.
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services.
• Manages departmental functions in support of facility goals.
• Identifies cost-effective systems to support department operations.
• Establishes effective relationships with patients, physicians, staff, volunteers and vendors.
• May assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.

**USPI Northwest Surgery Center **is seeking a motivated Operating Room Manager to join our team. Conveniently located on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We have 7 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Urology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: The OR Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Department Manager works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals. Oversees surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services. May assist as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.
