Job summary

Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center in Columbia, MD seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. The OR team provides ortho/spine, robotics, and general surgeries across 11 ORs within the Johns Hopkins Health System.

The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with a 40-hour work week and night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. We value world-class clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred; must matriculate into a BSN program if ADN.
• RN license is required.
• Basic CPR certification is required.
• Minimum six months of nursing experience required; one year preferred.

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Weekly Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: 8 hours nights, 11p to 7:30a

At Howard County General Hospital, we have 11 ORs which are a great fit for the experienced OR RN looking to work for the world-renowned Johns Hopkins family. In our OR's we provide ortho/spine, robotics, and general surgeries.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required),
• Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred) and
• Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
• RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
• CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
• Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
• 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of Operating Room experience (Preferred)

Salary Range: Minimum 37.13/hour - Maximum 57.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
