Nurses utilize the science and art of nursing while collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patient and family. We are a Commission on Cancer (COC) accredited facility. The RN provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, supporting patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient outcomes.The RN* Provides individualized patient care and coordinates care delivery for patients of all ages.* Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.* Completes and documents age-specific assessments to support development of care plans.* Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.* Administers treatments and medications accurately and documents care in electronic medical records.* Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs.* Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.* Advocates for patients and supports their rights and psychosocial needs.* Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.* Demonstrates clinical expertise in dynamic and changing care environments.* Implements strategies to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization.* Serves as a role model and supports development of peers and team members.* Manages resources, prioritizes tasks, and adapts to changing patient care needs.* Supports orientation and training of new employees.* Uses problem-solving skills to address patient care and operational challenges.* Provides feedback and participates in shared decision-making activities.* Supports education activities within the department.* Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.# **What We Require:****Education:** Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.**Experience:** None.**Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:** Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.**Life Support:** AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.**Other Minimum Qualifications:** Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.
