Job summary

Avera Health is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor for the Avera Cancer Institute in Yankton. You will supervise nursing activities in the clinic and infusion area, ensuring smooth patient flow and collaboration with physicians and departments to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license must be active in the state of practice.
• Oncology Nursing Society provider cards required or obtained within specified timelines.
• Experience coordinating nursing activities in a clinic/infusion setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for clinical operations and patient flow coordination with the Clinic Manager.
• Develop and implement goals for the clinic and infusion area.
• Manage staffing to meet budgetary goals and ensure high-quality care.
• Schedule nursing staff and maintain appropriate coverage for efficiency.
• Develop and update unit policies and competencies related to patient care.
• Communicate with staff and report feedback to leadership promptly.
• Maintain high clinical competency and uphold service standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed.
