Job summary

Freeman Health System in Freeman, WV is seeking an Onboarding Specialist I in the Nursing Resource Department to coordinate orientation and education for clinical staff. You will design curricula, collaborate with unit leaders and preceptors, and manage system-wide courses and in-services to ensure comprehensive orientation.

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience and a Missouri RN license (or compact-state license) are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or compact-state RN license; compact license must be in the state of residence.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare field.

Responsibilities

• Design curricula and outcomes reflecting trends to prepare staff.
• Coordinate unit orientation, track checksheets, and schedule new employees.
• Develop unit learning plans and preceptor training series.
• Lead educational activities and collaborate with physicians and leadership.
• Perform daily rounding to assess educational needs of staff.
• Implement department policy for program execution and attend staff meetings.
• Foster a classroom, simulation, and clinical learning environment.
• Review curriculum for RN Residency and Patient Care Orientation programs.
