Job summary

Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO, seeks an Onboarding Specialist I to support the Nursing Resource Department. This role ensures orientation and educational opportunities for new staff are planned, implemented, and completed, in collaboration with unit leaders and preceptors.

Responsibilities include designing curricula, coordinating orientation items, tracking checksheets, and facilitating unit learning plans and preceptor training, while upholding Freeman's Five Star Promise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years nursing experience (minimum)
• Current Missouri RN license or compact state RN license
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education or Healthcare related field

Responsibilities

• Formulates program outcomes and designs curricula reflecting health care trends.
• Coordinates orientation on the unit to onboard new employees.
• Tracks orientation checksheets and manages new employee schedules.
• Develops unit education plans, preceptor training series, and other education as needed.
• Facilitates learning in classroom, simulation and clinical settings to achieve learning outcomes.
