Job summary

HonorHealth's Deer Valley location in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a registered nurse for the Observation Unit-1P2. The RN provides direct patient care, develops care plans, administers medications and IV therapy, and collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Possible sign-on bonus up to $10K. The ideal candidate has RN licensure in Arizona, with experience in med-surg or acute settings, and a commitment to patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• RN practice guided by ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to administer medications and manage IV lines when needed.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and symptoms; assist with tests and results.
• Administer treatments and medications; support follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Establish and contribute to individualized care plans including IV management.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, diet, exercise, and home care.
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and nursing aides; supervise and precept staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver patient care.
• Develop and evaluate standards of care using evidence-based practice.
• Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning patient care.

Education

BSN within 60 months or 5+ years RN experience

Associates or Diploma in Nursing

BSN Preferred
