Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota, seeks an RN for the Observation Unit at Miller Dwan. This 0.75 FTE position features 12-hour night shifts and a weekend/holiday rotation, requiring Minnesota licensure and a BSN/ADN.

You will lead a care team, coordinate patient assessments, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards while supporting the hospital's mission and community service.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Minnesota nursing license.
• BCLS certification within one month.
• 1 year Med/Surg RN experience preferred; Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Act as team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon licensure and preparation.
• Be part of the facility and Essentia's mission, serving the community.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory/accrediting requirements.
