Job summary

Essentia Health Duluth is seeking an RN for the Observation Unit to organize and provide patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will lead a nursing team and delegate tasks per licensure and preparation, while helping achieve the facility's mission and serve the local community.

This 0.75 FTE night-shift role requires Minnesota RN licensure, a BSN/ADN, BCLS within one month, and 1 year Acute Med/Surg experience (Critical Care preferred).

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current nursing licensure in Minnesota.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.
• 1 year Acute Med/Surg RN experience preferred; Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and provide care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Be a team leader and delegate aspects of care based on licensure and training.
• Contribute to meeting the facility and Essentia goals and serve the community.
• Meet Joint Commission and other regulatory or accrediting agency requirements.
