Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for the Observation Unit, a 22-bed med-surg/telemetry unit focused on short-stay medical-surgical observation and extended recovery care. This .7 FTE position (28 hours per week) works evenings (3pm-11:30pm) and requires every other weekend and holiday.

CNA training, active CPR certification, and current nursing assistant qualifications within five years are required, along with EPIC experience and strong communication

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) training program or MN Registry eligibility

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide patient care treatments including IV discontinuation, restraint monitoring, vitals, weights, and intake/output
• Respond to patient call lights and assist nurses with procedures
• Document and chart in the electronic health system (EPIC)
