Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Observation Unit. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week with day shifts from 7am to 7pm and rotating weekends; holidays as required.

The unit observes patients typically admitted for less than 24 hours. You will provide direct nursing care from admission to discharge, working as part of an on-shift team and coordinating with providers to ensure timely, quality care. New grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.
• BLS for healthcare provider required.
• ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).

Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department and observes patients who are expected to be in the hospital less than 24 hours. Nurses in this unit care for a variety of patients including chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM each day of the week to provide support and high-level care.New Graduate RNs welcome.

Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license required.

BLS for healthcare provider required.

ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
