Corewell Health is seeking a part-time nurse to join the Women Infant Svcs Unit OB Delivery Postpartum 2S at Big Rapids Hospital. The role delivers comprehensive maternity care, supported by a collaborative team and specialized staff for newborns and mothers.

The position emphasizes nursing care per ANA standards, adherence to a nursing process, and ongoing professional development within a community-oriented health system. On-site shifts and a supportive benefits program are provided.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• BLS required within 90 days; ACLS required within 6 months.
• CRT-Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification – 2 years required.

Our advanced technology and specially trained staff are qualified to care for many infants with special needs.

Scope of work

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
