Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s degree and must obtain a Bachelor’s within five years, along with essential certifications. This full-time role includes working night shifts and 36 hours per week with variable days.
Big Rapids Family Birthing Center offers unique, family-centered maternity care. It has 11 private, cozy patient rooms providing a homelike setting. We are equipped to stabilize and care for babies who need specialized care, with advanced technology and a specially trained staff qualified to care for many infants with special needs.

Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrate competency through the critical thinking nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Uphold the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strive to achieve optimal outcomes.
