Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for antepartum care in a high-risk setting. The position is a 13-week assignment on the night shift with 36 hours per shift, requiring a current RN license and relevant certifications.

The role involves direct patient care for antepartum, labor & delivery, postpartum and newborn duties, intravenous therapies, and coordination of care with physicians. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by a state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certifications required upon hire.
• One year of experience in antepartum or Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a level 1 trauma setting.
• Good verbal and written communication; knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Note all changes in physician orders and assist in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients; observe and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed; initiate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver patient care competently and communicate with families about care plans.
• Delegate tasks to support staff and maintain professional relationships.
• Demonstrate ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
