Physical, Environmental & Psychological Considerations:

Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, infectious diseases, and biohazardous materials.Work occurs primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting.Occasional exposure to varied sounds, odors, and emotionally challenging situations.Must be physically able to lift, position, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.Ability to work effectively under stress and respond calmly to emergencies.Maintains strong problem-solving and coping skills.Demonstrates team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient qualities in dynamic clinical situations.

Department-Specific Qualifications:

Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required.OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months.SAFER Technician certification preferred.Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment.Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance is essential.
