Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for OB/GYN coverage in Machias, ME, on a 13-week assignment with night shift hours. The incumbent will provide holistic, patient-centered care on the OB unit and related areas, following nursing processes and collaborating with the care team.

Requirements include 2+ years in acute care, valid RN license, current BLS/ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation and STABLE, plus COVID-19 vaccination per state mandate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience as an RN.
• Current RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care.
• Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills.
• Performs the functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Implements and evaluates age-appropriate care of all patients in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients.
• Manages supplies and equipment and promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other hospital departments.
• Adheres to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation.
• Possesses effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrates computer skills.
