Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester is seeking a dedicated RN for a full-time night-shift role in our Obstetrics and Mother Baby unit, working 36 hours weekly. The position involves caring for patients across Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB ER with flexible float between units as needed.

Responsibilities include circulating in OR suites, supporting Lactation Consultants, and maintaining clinical competencies in obstetric and postpartum care. BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license for the state or a compact license.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing high-quality patient care in Labor & Birth, Antepartum, and OB Emergency Departments, with flexibility to float between units based on patient needs.
• Maintaining clinical competencies across various obstetric and postpartum services.
• Circulating cases in dedicated OR suites and supporting full-time Lactation Consultants in inpatient and outpatient care.

Qualifications Include

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license for the state or a compact license, with ongoing licensure compliance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform various movements required for patient care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, with additional certifications as needed.
