Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a registered nurse for the Mother Baby unit on a 13-week assignment. The RN will work night shifts on a dedicated maternity ward including Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, and well-baby care.

The unit supports 9 Labor & Delivery rooms and 8 Post-Partum/GYN beds with a team of over 50 professionals. Ideal candidates have OB experience, an active RN license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN).

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery, postpartum, and well-baby care.
• Assist with OB triage, inductions, and support birth partners.

Description:Maternity Care Center consists of various units including Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and a well-baby nursery.The unit has a total of 9 Labor & Delivery rooms and 8 Post-Partum/GYN beds.There are 2 OR suites available for surgical procedures.The well-baby nursery accommodates 23 newborns.The staff includes over 50 professionals in various roles to support patient care.Day shifts feature a Director, Manager, couplet nurses, birth response nurse, and labor & delivery nurses, along with scrub technicians.Night shifts include a clinical coordinator or charge nurse, birth response, couplet nurses, labor & delivery nurses, and scrub technicians.Staff to patient ratios are maintained at 3 couplets per nurse, with 1:1 care during active labor.Common procedures performed include labor and delivery, cesarean sections, post-partum care, and newborn care.Additional responsibilities may involve OBED triage, inductions, and assisting midwives.Ideal candidates are energetic and self-directed.This position does not require floating outside of the designated unit.Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code.Weekend shifts consist of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule, with specific days designated for work.There is no call requirement for travel staff; however, opportunities for extra shifts may be available.
