Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license
• CPR certification
• 1-3 years of experience in a health care facility
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Knowledge of computer office/clinical software
• Must be able to read, write and understand English

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Care
• Identifies and investigates any non-compliant matters and communicates to appropriate leadership
• Maintains effective communication with patient/family, physicians, nursing staff and management
• Demonstrates nursing process knowledge: assessment, care plan, intervention, evaluation, documentation
• Gives and receives shift reports about patient status
• Ensures timely application of nursing process for admissions and care plans
• Conducts unit surveillance rounds during assigned shift
• Provides direct patient care as needed
• Responds to call lights within established timeframes
• Performs new admission assessments
• Provides education/trainings for nursing staff
• Maintains customer and employee satisfaction
• Supports accommodation of disabilities in performing essential tasks
• Collaborates with health team on shift to evaluate care delivery
• Assists in counseling and writing performance evaluations
• Manages staffing and budget implications with coordinators
• Performs special assignments from Director of Nursing Services
• Supports leadership in problem solving and time-bound activities
• Maintains required certifications and mandatory skill updates
• Complies with all policies and laws
• Performs other duties as assigned
