Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead nursing services within our inpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment program in Baldwinville, MA. This onsite role offers a key leadership position, driving clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor will oversee regulatory compliance, staffing, assessments, and plans of care to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts.
• ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing leadership/management experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health/mental healthcare experience, substance use treatment preferred.
• Experience with Kipu EMR systems, preferred.
• Clinical Judgment: independent assessment of patient condition and escalation of care.
• Behavioral Health: knowledge of substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Acuity Management: ability to match staffing to patient acuity.
• Clinical Leadership: lead, coach, and oversee nursing staff.
• Compliance & Safety: knowledge of regulatory standards and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: support readiness, audits, accreditation, nursing policies, and staff education.
• Clinical Oversight: RN-level clinical oversight, evaluate patient needs, and determine nursing assignments.
• Staff Leadership: supervise, mentor, and provide clinical direction to nursing staff.
• Clinical Assessment: perform nursing assessments and identify changes in patient condition.
• Plans of Care: develop, evaluate, and modify nursing plans based on acuity and presentation.
• Care Coordination: coordinate patient care with medical teams and ensure safe documentation.
