Job summary

Covenant Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to supervise clinical care in the nursing department and support the Director of Nursing. The role ensures compliance with policies and state/federal regulations while maintaining high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate brings an Illinois RN license, leadership experience in acute/sub-acute or long-term care, and strong time management with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• RN nursing degree required by state.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years in a leadership role in acute/sub-acute/long-term care required.
• Current RN license in Illinois in good standing.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in problem solving and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical supervision in nursing to ensure high care standards.
• Support the Director of Nursing and act in their absence.
• Assist nurse managers in decisions about nursing care.
• Serve as Infection Control Practitioner, QA lead and restorative lead.
• Coordinate educational offerings for the nursing department.
• Participate in Medicare/Insurance assessments and related worksheets.
• Monitor MDS schedules and therapy minutes for billing.
• Oversee staff including interviewing, hiring, evaluations and discipline.
