Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse experienced in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care to join our team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, directing personnel as needed in a busy obstetric unit.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and NRP within specified timelines, with a strong emphasis on documentation and patient safety. A sign-on bonus is available for external candidates.

Qualifications

• IL RN license is required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS within 1yr of hire.
• NRP within 1yr of hire.
• College Diploma Nursing is required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Assists with orientation, instruction/training, and supervision of staff members as assigned.
• Performs proper procedure for fetal heart monitoring, vaginal exams, and patient assessments.
• Administers medications per physician orders and documents all care in EMR.
