Job summary

The Cambridge Health Alliance–McGovern Maternity Unit in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. You will provide continuous maternal-neonatal care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods and support discharge planning and follow-up care.

Experience in labor and delivery is required; BSN preferred; MA RN license and BLS/ACLS/NRP are required. The unit emphasizes evidence-based practice and family-centered care with a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Current MA RN licensure
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring preferred
• Current labor and delivery experience required

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing assessment and care of the mother through antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods according to established guidelines.
• Performs ongoing assessment and care of the newborn according to guidelines.
• Provides education from antenatal to immediate postpartum period and assists with discharge planning and follow-up care.
