Job summary

Methodist Children's Behavioral Hospital in Jonesboro, AR seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee RNs, LPNs and Behavioral Instructors, ensure unit staffing and compliance with the Teaching-Family model.

Responsibilities include maintaining therapeutic environment, auditing med records, census reporting, participating in meetings, and facilitating staff education. A valid Arkansas RN license and healthcare management experience are required; CPI certification is required and renewed yearly.

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed by the State of Arkansas as an RN.
• Experience in healthcare management.
• At least two years nursing experience as an RN.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for several hours.
• Must be able to receive and use verbal/written directions.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of all staff providing direct patient care (RNs, LPNs and Behavioral Instructors).
• Maintain staff compliance with unit schedule of activities.
• Ensure therapeutic environment via Teaching-Family model and treatment plan.
• Audit medication administration records and rectify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Director of Medical Records to complete charts on time.
• Attend supervisor/consultant meetings, census meetings and treatment team meetings.
• Assist in unit nursing coverage and staff education/competency.
• Participate in Quality Improvement studies and data reporting.
