Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Head Nurse to oversee patient care, supervise staff, and manage the day-to-day operations of a nursing unit.

You will apply the nursing process, provide clinical leadership, and partner with the Manager/Director/CNO to ensure safe quality care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. Requirements include RN licensure, BLS within 14 days of hire, and at least 2 years on a current unit; ACLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience on current unit or in a similar setting.
• RN licensure with BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, review, and combine diagnostic data relevant to the patient’s current condition.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities.
• Intervenes and provides guidance during life threatening situations.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and outcomes.
• Implements processes that improve patient outcomes.
• Participates in coaching, counseling, mentoring, hiring, firing, and evaluations.
• Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.
• Communicates and collaborates with others in providing patient care.
• Supports life-long learning.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
