Job summary

Greystone Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor for the night shift. The role directs the nursing unit in a long-term care facility, overseeing staffing, care quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will hire and evaluate staff, plan meetings on resident care, and collaborate with physicians for timely interventions. Requirements include an RN license, a nursing degree, and at least three years of nursing experience with LTC exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; degree preferred.
• RN license (state required)
• Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, including one year in a long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of a nursing unit in a long-term care facility.
• Hire, discipline, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Plan and facilitate meetings to address resident care issues.
• Ensure high quality care and staffing meet resident needs and budget.
• Develop and evaluate programs for recruitment, retention and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with physicians to ensure timely and appropriate interventions.
• Review staffing patterns and census; reassign staff to meet needs and budget.
• Monitor unit operations and patient conditions to ensure safe care.
• Ensure medications, supplies and records are available to provide safe care.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel and mentor staff.
• Participate in facility QA program.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
