Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities and ensure care quality across the facility. Duties include directing nursing tasks, updating policies, and maintaining current reference materials for staff and residents.

The role requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards, with coordination across committees and with the DON/ADON as applicable. The position focuses on maintaining high standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.
• Ensure that reference material maintained at the nurses' stations is current and relevant to resident care.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and reflects daily nursing procedures.
• Ensure all nursing service personnel comply with procedures in the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Make written and oral reports to the Director concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in the development, maintenance and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
• Attend facility committee meetings (Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, QA) as required.
• Assist in preparing written and/or oral reports of nursing service programs and activities to committees.
