Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee daily operations of inpatient behavioral health services, with a minimum of 3 per diem shifts per month, including options for night or day hours.

You will lead nursing staff, ensure high quality patient care, coach and develop teams, and collaborate with physicians and support teams to improve outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Experience in behavioral health care serving inpatients.
• Supervisory experience and ability to coach staff.
• Current NJ RN licensure is required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Supervisor to join our Behavioral Health team at Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital for a minimum of 3 per diem shifts per month. The shifts could be M-F 11pm - 7am, or Sat/Sun 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, or 11pm - 7am. As a Nurse Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our inpatient behavioral health services. Your exceptional leadership skills, clinical expertise, and passion for providing high-quality care will enable you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Staff Management: Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing ongoing coaching, training, and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient outcomes, reduce readmissions, and improve staff satisfaction.
• Communication: Foster open and effective communication among staff, patients, and families, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged in the patient's care.

Requirements:

• Experience in behavioral health required, inpatient experience preferred

• Supervisory experience preferred

• Current NJ RN licensure

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
