NIXA NURSING & REHAB in Nixa, Missouri is seeking an RN Nurse Supervisor to join our team. This role features a rotating weekend schedule (every other weekend) with potential for additional hours during the week.

The Nurse Supervisor will direct and supervise resident care plans, coordinate unit services, perform regular rounds, and ensure quality care and compliance with policies. Strong leadership, communication with staff and providers, and hands-on nursing support are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN.
• Experience directing and supervising resident care plans and infection control.
• Ability to coordinate services on assigned units and supervise staff.
• Strong communication with licensed nurses, providers, and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise resident care plan implementation and safety measures.
• Coordinate services on assigned units to ensure a homelike atmosphere.
• Perform regular rounds on nursing units and document findings.
• Support nurses with assessment, care planning, and supply management.
• Ensure accurate incident reporting and follow-up on safety issues.
• Facilitate communication between staff and DON/ADON and outside vendors.
• Assist with staffing and performance reviews; provide coaching as needed.

Job description

NIXA NURSING & REHAB, located in Nixa, Missouri is currently seeking a RN Nurse Supervisor to join our team. This position is a rotating weekend postion (Every other weekend) with the option for additional hours throughout the week.

Nurse Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, including but not limited to: ensuring use of appropriate safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, infection control measures.
• Assist in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for the residents.
• Regular rounding on nursing units
• Assure that staff treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Assure staff follow facility policies and procedures.
• Assist in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life. Provide support and direction for nurses including, but not limited to: assisting in assessment and care planning for residents who may be experiencing a change in condition, assisting with task management and setting priorities, providing education, obtaining appropriate supplies/medications.
• Monitor and assure that incidents, accidents and resident/staff complaints are reported and documented correctly. Assist in determining root cause, and in initiating preventive measures/interim safety plan. Assure communication to all responsible parties including administration and unit managers.
• Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors as needed to ensure resident care needs are appropriately met.
• Assure complete and accurate documentation through spot-checking and on-going supervision.
• Respond to, assist with and document facility emergencies.
• Ensure the provision of continuity of care to residents. Discuss staffing issues and emergent or on-going problems.
• Facilitate communication between shift staff and unit managers/DON/ADON.
• Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the nursing department.
• Supervise proper use of equipment. Recommend equipment and supply needs to DON.
• Assist in direct resident care and work as a staff nurse, as necessary.
• Prepare/administer performance reviews for shift staff in consultation with unit managers; provide correction/re-education to shift staff as needed.

Nurse Supervisor Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN.
