Job description

Responsibilities
  • Supervises nursing staff assigned to a particular shift. Assigns patients to available nursing staff considering the patients' condition and the employees' skill level.
  • Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Anticipates staffing needs and responds proactively.
  • Oversees stocking of supplies and updates patient records to ensure readiness for subsequent shifts.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.

Licensure:

  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS - AHA).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS - AHA).
