HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking an RN Nurse Manager Medical-Surgical to lead nursing care on our medical-surgical unit. You will direct the provision of patient care, ensure adherence to standards, and mentor nursing staff in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 3 years in acute care with 1 year in a nursing leadership role. Sign-on bonus eligibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse (or compact licensure)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS certification, ACLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of start)
• RN ( Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital
• Minimum 1 year as full-time Charge Nurse/Coordinator or Nursing Management in an acute care hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, directing and provision of nursing care per Florida Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking and scientific judgement in patient care delivery
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and administrators to optimize patient outcomes

Job Summary and Qualifications

The manager demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a full time Charge Nurse/ Coordinator, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management in an acute care Hospital setting
