Ideal candidates have a Florida nursing license, BLS/ACLS certifications, and experience in Cath Lab management within an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS certification or within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and operate the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology Department.
• Lead department staff and ensure 24/7 quality service and patient care.
• Meet JCAHO standards and comply with corporate policies and procedures.
• Promote teamwork with physicians and health care providers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Summary And Qualifications

This is a management position responsible for the planning, development and operations of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Radiology Department. The Department Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the departments and staff to assure quality service 24 hrs per day. The Department Director is responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures and for managing supplies and equipment in the areas of responsibility. Promotes teamwork with physicians and all health care providers and promotes customer satisfaction in all areas of responsibility.

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
• Minimum of 2 years management experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care Hospital Setting
