**Responsibilities**

Manage activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas: Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult or Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, Labor & Delivery/Women & Family.

+ Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).

+ Identifiy and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).

+ Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).

+ Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).

+ Monitor and adheres to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

+ Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.

+ Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Required Credential(s):

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

**Additional Preferences**

+ 5+ years experience in L&D

+ Need to have previous leadership experience
